Job description

Our ideal “Experienced Skilled Craftsman/woman” is a highly motivated, talented, multi-skilled tradesman who is committed to quality work, doing it right the first time, and customer service. Candidates shall have a good overall knowledge of multiple trades and have a proven history in quality repairs, replacements, installations, and customer work. He/She must possess a strong will to be successful, follow company policies, procedures, practices, complete all tasks assigned in a timely and professional manner. A real Craftsman/woman who takes pride in their work, and does the right thing even when no one is looking, and does what it takes. AHS seeks individuals who are independent thinkers and problem solvers with strong communication skills who enjoy a variety of work.

Job Requirements
Experience Skilled Craftsman/woman with strong work ethics, a professional appearance and demeanor, and a good overall knowledge and proven skills in carpentry, cabinets, interior trim, and custom woodwork. You must display excellent customer service skills, ability to evaluate job with the customer, have the ability to interact in a positive way with a wide variety of clients, as well as fellow employees, management, and office personnel.

Specific qualifications for the role include:
  • Minimum with proof of a high school diploma or GED
  • Own your own standard set of tools to perform your skills
  • Own your own truck or van that is always in presentable condition
  • Current proof of a valid Florida Driver's License
  • Current proof and maintaining active insurance on the vehicle that you use at work
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, creativity, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong people skills
  • Documentation skills
  • Ability and desire to consistently learn and improve
  • Background check
  • Have a smartphone
  • (Spanish is not required but is a plus)

Compensation: $45,000.00 - $62,000.00 per hour

Ace Handyman Services’ work itself is often indoors in temperature-controlled environments, and is primarily of lighter-duty than new construction projects.  There are Franchise Owners and Office Managers to assist with the day-to-day operations and administrative side of the business allowing our Craftsmen to focus on the tasks at-hand and provide our customers with professional services that delight our customers.  Our Franchise Owners are successful, business-savvy individuals, who are ethical and treat their Staff like Family. The safety and well-being of TEAM members is a top priority. Many of our Craftsmen are former business owners themselves and after working for an Ace Handyman Services local office, even for a short time, they have no desire to be out on their own or operating their small businesses any longer.
